Super Barracuda!

You probably saw this on CNN, but it’s a TV spot by a crazy conservative group, thanking Sarah Palin.

I love the multi-cultural (black guy dressed as a cowboy) cast, thanking Sarah Palin for all that she’s done.
I thank her, too, because I think she did a great deal to ensure Barack Obama’s decisive victory in a nation easily misled by political stunts (anyone remember McCain’s economic crisis fly-in?).

So since McCain has been unable to use a multitude of songs for his campaign (Source: New York Times), has decided to make a band that he CAN use to his advantage. Created in Rock Band by inkasylum, Change First is a dynamic, if a bit uneven band. Their two very different styles cause them to appear to be fighting each other for the spotlight; Usually BaRock is in center stage, but Mavrik is oft vying for that position with his stinging and repetitive lyrics. Some favorites titles off the new album coming out in November include “My Friends,” “Yes We Can,” and “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran.”

I’m sure all the SB contributors are having a hard time deciding which part of the debauc—debate they would like to humorize in comic form, but for those of you who *haven’t* seen the SNL recap, I just want to make sure ya do:

Someone pointed out to me that one of the reasons they don’t trust Obama is his connection to an “anti-Semitic” pastor. Sarah Palin, member of a feverish evangelical Christian church, describes her affection of the witch-hunting pastor Muthee and how she feels she owes some of her ability to gain office on his magical praying. Watch out, America, we will become the United States of Salem!

A great video by Sarah Silverman, encouraging us Jews, whose old folks inevitably live in Florida, to get off our fat Jewish asses and visit our grandparents, making sure they vote Obama! Don’t forget how big of a difference the state of Florida can make in an election!

Got family in other battleground states? Make sure to push them, Jewish or other, to think long and hard about where they want this country to go.

This is a cute satirical look at the reasons why people would consider voting Republican. My dad votes Republican, and we are by no means a rich (we are probably lower middle class, or according to McCain, dirt poor)… So I suppose I don’t really get it. But if you want to find out more about why people who don’t make over 200k a year vote Republican, then here’s your answer!
