About
Super Barracuda! is a collaborative webcomic series, headed by Auilix of The Glass Urchin, about the current election going on in our fair (and fairly confused) country. There’s been a lot of stuff happening now in the last leg of the journey, and the news is just so fantastic, it’s hard to believe sometimes. At least, we think a lot of it’s scary, but in an entertaining way. I’d love to get the word out more on the politicians involved and kind of cut through the lies, and I want to do it in a fun, truthful, and appealing way. And, okay, we admit it- we on the staff are all for Obama! But that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t like some intuitive comics from the other side of the fence, so please all you Republican webcomickers out there, do send away! We’re hoping to let this grow into a great webcomic community. And that’s pretty much the premise of Super Barracuda!
We’ll be continuously updating with new issues and old, spotlights on the politicians and opinions. All of the comics will be based in truth and will have citations so that you, the reader, can easily get all the information you need. Learn more! Make your decision! Vote on November 4th, 2008!
Meet the Founding Artists:
The idea came to use webcomics as a means of communicating information to the masses about the election came not long after McCain nominated Sarah Palin as his VP pick, and the blatant lies that followed from the McCain camp. Distraught that our fair country might actually go backwards with a leaders like them frightens Auilix. Her favorite thing about the USA is its diversity. See Auilix at The Glass Urchin
Bree has been a webcomicker since high school, her current webcomic has been running continuously for over a year. Thinking the election was in the bag for Obama, Bree became fearful after the nomination of Sarah Palin as McCain’s VP… And that has led her to put down her troubles in comic form. Please submit entries to Super Barracuda to auilix at gmail dot com. Please keep the width of your comics at 550 px or under, any length is okay as long as it’s not a mile long. Please add a watermark (preferrably blue) to the bottom of your comic that says “YOURNAME for Super Barracuda! (c) 2008″. We have the right to reject any comic if it’s blatantly offensive, vulgar, or untruthful. Send with your comic the following information:
Artist Name: Your name
Citations: Links to citations you used to create your comic or art
Artist Page: A link to your website/devArt/flickr/whatever you have
Comments: Anything you’d like to add about your comic
